Basic Literacy Classes
The Basic Literacy Programme of the Pakistan Association of the Deaf (PAD) is designed for Deaf individuals who have never attended school or have missed formal education. The programme focuses on building basic educational skills to help learners start or resume their academic journey.
After completing the programme, students are able to:
- Gain admission to schools
- Appear in board examinations, where applicable
- Continue further studies with improved confidence
The curriculum includes:
- Urdu
- English
- Mathematics
This programme is regularly conducted under PAD at the Centre of Excellence for the Deaf (CED). Special classes are arranged for learners who require additional support, ensuring an inclusive, Deaf-friendly, and accessible learning environment.
