Women Empowerment Programme
The Pakistan Association of the Deaf (PAD) is committed to gender equality and the empowerment of Deaf women and young girls. PAD believes that access to education, skills, and mobility is essential for independence, confidence, and active participation in society.
Through this programme, PAD provides vocational, educational, and life-skills training that enables Deaf women to:
- Develop practical skills for income generation
- Support their families with dignity and independence
- Work from home or within their communities
PAD also ensures the active inclusion of Deaf women in social connectivity programmes, awareness sessions, and community activities, helping them build strong communication skills and social networks.
To promote independence and mobility, PAD offers mobility training, including:
- Bike training
- Scooty training
These mobility initiatives help Deaf women and young girls travel independently, access education and work opportunities, and participate confidently in daily life.
PAD’s Women Empowerment Programme focuses on:
- Education and awareness
- Skill development
- Social inclusion and connectivity
- Mobility and independence
Through these efforts, PAD works to ensure Deaf women are educated, skilled, empowered, and confident contributors to their families and society.
